Accelerate Discovery
Diverge actively scouts cutting-edge construction technologies with the help of Everyday Innovators, startup partnerships, universities, venture capital networks and ConTech community. Tapping into a wide range of sources allows Hensel Phelps to stay ahead of emerging trends and identify solutions with real potential to solve jobsite challenges.
Discovery
In this phase, Diverge assesses each technology’s technical feasibility, scalability and alignment with Hensel Phelps’ strategic goals. Conducting market research, holding partner discussions and reviewing product capabilities helps Diverge to determine whether the innovation can deliver measurable value.
Evaluation
Promising solutions are tested in controlled pilots either at the Diverge Innovation Center or directly on project sites. Collaborating with field teams and clients allow Diverge to establish success criteria and gather feedback. This hands-on testing helps refine the technology and ensure it solves real-world problems before scaling.
Operational Mobilization
When a solution proves effective, Diverge leads the rollout across Hensel Phelps. This includes project team training, process integration and company-wide standardization. Diverge continues to refine technologies post-implementation to ensure they evolve with project needs and deliver long-term impact.
